Director, Aqua Vision Care/Eyes Galore:
Dr. Kelechi Mezu-Nnabue is the Optometry Director of Aqua Vision Care in Maryland. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Strayer University.
Her Specialty is Dry Eye Management, Contact Lenses and Ocular Disease. She is very active in clinical research and has lectured in schools and colleges both in the USA and Nigeria, presented articles and abstracts at several meetings such as American Public health Association meetings and American Academy of Optometry meetings. She is a member of the Nigerian Optometry Association.
She has several publications, published clinical research articles and has co-authored book chapters. She is actively involved in the community, where she has organized community health fairs, held educational seminars, and offered health screenings.
As a young female Clinical Optometrist practicing in Maryland, she has been a National Board Examiner since 2005, and is also a Fellow of the World Council of Optometry. For the last 4 years, In 2016, She was appointed by Gov Hogan as a member of the Maryland Board of Examiners in Optometry. Currently, she serves as the Secretary, Maryland Board of Examiners in Optometry. In addition, her Doctoral Degree in Public Health has allowed her to utilize both her Clinical knowledge of Optometry and Research capability as a Public Health practitioner to lecture in conferences, participate in medical missions to disadvantaged people in many countries.
